The Magic Trains:
1.) Worked very hard on their reading skills with one-on-one assistance, while sounding out word beginnings and endings.
2.) Read an awesome book entitled A Fish Out Of Water, and made predictions about what would happen next.
3.) Played a fast-paced game of “What Animal Am I” with Mr. Dan, during fitness, followed by a version of hide-and-seek, using bean bags. Mr. Dan commented on how well our students participated, which made the teachers proud.
4.) Concentrated on a math game entitled “number bingo” and played “go fish”.
The Diener Dinosaurs:
What a thrilling Thursday! Today the Diener Dinosaurs…
1.) Read a story called ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ and contined to work on story sequencing!
2.) Talked about the desert and colored pictures of different desert animals!
3.) Had fitness with Mr. Dan and music with Miss Deanna! We played some fun beanbag games in fitness and practiced our Hebrew Home songs in music!
The Mighty Dieners:
1.) In Music, we practiced for our Hebrew Home performance with Mr. Paul's class!
2.) Ms. Kathy helped us work on our letters! We used our Handwriting Without Tears books to practice letter formation, and Ms. Kathy would describe a letter and we had to guess which letter!
3.) In Math, we read a story about High School Musical and graphed how many times we saw the word 'movie' on a page!
The Golden Owls:
1.) Ms. Jenn joined us today for speech and had the kids play a game called apple to apple. They differentiate between nouns and adjectives, formulating word associations.
2.) In writing we had the students use the brainstorming webs and then continue with drafting. The boys drafted about construction workers, while the girls drafted about Thanksgiving using lots of details and examples.
3.) This afternoon we prepared for The Hebrew Home with “The Mighty Dieners” class and Ms Marilyn.
