The Magic Trains:
Today the Magic Trains…
1.) Reviewed the book “Go Animals Go” and talked about animals that live on farms. Jack and Teddy learned that “fantasy” means something that is make believe. Trevor and Danielle worked in their “Explode the Code” books with Seena and they worked on sight words with Debbie.
2.) Played a game in Fitness that helped them review the seven continents. When they arrived at a certain continent, they were asked to do and hold certain animal poses.
3.) Learned about their five senses with Ms. Melissa in Science. They smelled various things such as oranges and clam juice. They also listened to different noises that were loud and soft.

The Diener Dinosaurs:
What a terrific Tuesday! Today the Diener Dinosaurs...
1.) Read our Weekly Readers - they were all about Winter! Then we read a book called 'There's No Place Like Space' and did book reports about it!
2.) Had Science class with Miss Melissa! We learned about our five senses and then smelled and touched a variety of things to see how they differed.
3.) Finished our colorful bird books! We did a great job coloring them, labeling them, and cutting them out!

The Mighty Dieners:
1.) Today, we worked on number books to identify the number with the numeric word and to practice our handwriting by writing the words and numbers. When we were done, we drew shapes on each page to represent each number.
2.) We graphed our weather calendars from December and started our January weather calendars!
3.) In Science, we learned all about the 5 senses!

The Golden Owls:
We had a great day in the Golden Owls!
1.) In language arts we continued to talk about connecting and predicting while also learning how to rewrite different endings to stories that we are reading. We are also talking about the index, glossary and table of contents in books.
2.) In math we split up into three different groups working on our double facts and graphing how many we know! We are using dominos and dice to help us!
3.) We are using brain gym throughout the day to help our engines run smoothly.
